Susanna Gilbert's Train & Graffiti Slide Show

Susanna grew up in Belen, New Mexico and remembers as a little girl taking the Doodlebug train with Grandma Teresa and her brothers and sister from Belen to Albuquerque and back in the early 1960s. She was also an Amtrak traveler going back and forth between Washington DC and Albuquerque. As a volunteer at the Belen Harvey House Museum she hears the rumbling freight cars and powerful diesel engines as they pass close by or can be seen at a railroad crossing as we watch and wait for the freight cars to bring their artistic graffiti show passed the blinking red light.

Susanna doesn't attempt to crack the code of the secret language or find a meaning in the graffiti except to just bring forth the beautiful colors and the beautiful shapes and wild masterpieces starting in present summer 2022 going back to fall 2021.
